See you in the Cosmos slideshow

For our class novel this term we read a book called See you in the Cosmos. Each week since we started reading it, we got a new task to complete. We have finished the book.

It's a good book. I suggest you read it, (If you have time.) It's about a kid, who has a golden Ipod and wants to send it to space. His first attempt was a fail.

I found waiting for the next task difficult.
I found the last task easy.
I enjoyed reading the book.

If you have ever read See you in the Cosmos, what did you enjoy.

Did you like the slide show.
What did you enjoy and why?
Any questions or comments, you know what to do.

3 or 4 People in the Early Church

In RE (Religious Education) we had to use animaker to write about 3 or 4 people in the early church. On the site there were 6 links. 1 of the links were 2 people, that's why I wrote 3 or 4. I chose the link with 2 people as my third link.

When we finished the animaker we had to screencastify it. When we were do with screencastifying it we had to publish to our blogs.

I found screencastifying the animaker difficult.
I found making the animaker easy.
I enjoyed the entire task.

If you enjoyed comment down below.

What is at the Bottom of the Sea?

This week for sharp reading we got a non-fiction. I don't understand either. I thought it would be a fiction, (Not real.)

The text was called what is at the bottom of the sea. So this week it was an infographic. This time I used a piktochart.

What I found difficult was making the piktochart.
What I enjoyed was finishing it.

What did you like and why? Comment down below. Don't forget, Positive, (Something you liked) Thoughtful, (Something related to something you did like this) and helpful, (Something I can work on.)

The Beautiful Mountain. Descriptive writing

In writing this week, we looked at a picture and we had to describe it by using our 5 sense's, taste, smell, see, hear and touch.

I really liked the picture. After that we had to write about what we taste, smell, hear, see and touch. We didn't really go to the location though. The picture was beautiful. Because writing is my favourite subject, I really enjoyed it.
I found describing the picture difficult, but eventually it got easy. It took a few minutes to make. Hope you enjoy.

The Beautiful Mountain!

Me and my friend are walking up a mountain. We got to the top of the mountain.

I could see the beautiful ocean. It’s like I was an island guard looking at the ocean to see if any boats were coming to invade the country. It’s so beautiful that I feel like I was gonna cry. Happy tears not sad tears.

I could smell the cold mountain air. It’s like it was meant to be a snow day but the snow never came, but it was fine the way it was. I could also smell the beautiful ocean breeze, like if it was gonna flood the land.

I can taste the beautiful breeze. Seen as I am at the top, I feel like I am as tall as a giant. If the mountain were a bit taller, I would probably shout out, “Hello world.”

I can touch the air and the mountain floor. I feel like I can touch the sky right now, but I can’t. If I had some lunch in my hand, I would probably eat it.

I can hear the birds, singing a little song. If I were a bird, I would do the same thing, sing. I would also fly around the world. I can also hear the mountain breeze.

It’s time to go home now, but I wish I could come back to this beautiful mountain another day. Going down the mountain will be a lot of fun.

Group writing Picture Book. The Villain and the Dragon.

In week 6 we started a picture book. Before we even started the picture book, we had to use the schoolastic story starters slot machine.

Next we had to make the story and after that, put it on a book theme. After we made the book, we had to put in pictures and backgrounds. It was really fun. We were in the same groups as week 5. Remember that story. Link to the lost sheep. I was in a group with Tini, Talia and Liam.

What I found difficult was working together.
What I enjoyed was making the background.
I am proud of finishing the story.

Week 9 Infographic

This week for sharp reading we didn't use a shared slideshow again. We had to just make the infographic and post to our blogs.

My groups reading passage is called, "What Causes the Tides." We had to read through the passage and answer the remembering task's. After that we had to make the infographic.

What I enjoyed: I enjoyed making the infographic.
What I found difficult: I found making the diagrams, (Pictures.)
What I found easy: Reading the passage.

The passage my group got this week is a non-fiction. Non-fiction means that it is something actually happened or happens.

If you enjoy the infographic, write down below your comments. Same with things I could work on. Don't forget to use positive, thoughtful and helpful. Also if you have any questions, write them down below too.

The CERR Values

A few weeks ago we started a powtoon on the CERR values at my St Bernadette's school. We had the choice to chose between writing about all the CERR Values, or just one. I chose all of them.
The CERR values at my school are Compassion, Excellence, Responsibility and Respect.
When they were done we had to make a Screencastify so we could publish the powtoons to our blogs.
It was easy making the screencastify, but it was difficult making the powtoon.
If there are any noise's that aren't music, ignore them.

Maths Week 7 Strategy

Today I will be teaching you a maths strategy that I have learnt. It was difficult but I still used the strategy. Once your use to it, it'll get easy.

There will be two questions for you to answer but they are easy. There's also the answer to the questions but don't head straight to them. That is called cheating, so don't cheat.

Te Wiki o te Reo Māori DLO

T3 W8 is Māori Language Week so in reading we had to do an online scavenger hunt and do 3-4 task's. I did 3.

After that we had to make a DLO of what we learnt. I learnt a lot of things and added in a few things that I know are true.

I found the quiz for task 7 of the scavenger hunt difficult because I barley knew any of the answers. I enjoyed making the DLO because I could add as much information as possible.

Here is my DLO

How many Māori words do you know?

Week 8 Sharp Reading Story Map

This week we didn't use a shared slideshow. We had to make the story map and publish it straight to our blogs. We did use mindmup to make the story map though.

Something I found difficult was making this blog post. Something I found easy was making the mindmup.

The story my group had this week is called Deep in the Forest.

If you have any comments, leave them down below.

Week 7 Shared Slideshow

In Sharp reading this week my group is learning about earthquakes. For the Shared slideshow it was another infographic. I took my advice from week 5 and used canva. It was difficult making it but it was fun. Enjoy. My slide is slide 6.
