I forgot to say something. Happy New Year. Yes it's a week late but, who cares. For this activity I had to write how old Jessa Rogers was when she got he youth of the year award on July 9th 2010.

For this activity I learned about Barack Obama and now I have to write about 5 things I enjoy.

1. Playing my Ipad. This is because my Ipad has a lot of games on it such as minecraft.

Summer Learning Journey Day 5 Activity 3 Own Choice

For this activity I get to chose anyone who I admire. The person who I admire is my principle Mr Norman. I admire him because he is a fun principle because lets our school have fun days also he goes from class to class to cause fun.

He even teach's us sometimes. Once he even jumped out of a plane to raise money for underprivileged children.

I can't get a picture because reason's I can't explain.

Summer Learning Journey Day 5 Activity 2

For this activity, I had to retell the story of Yusra Mardini. 

Yusra is a great swimmer. Yusra fled her home country on a boat, however the boat broke down so YusRa and 3 others including her sister swam for 3 and a half hours to get help so that everyone on the boat did not drown. After this she was chosen to become a olympic swimmer as part of the first ever refugee olympic team. She has won many awards and showed great bravery.

I found reading the story difficult because I have no idea of who Yusra was.

I enjoyed this activity because I was eating my dinner at the time.

Summer Learning Journey Day 5 Activity 1 Three Treasures

3 more sleeps until Christmas. I hope your excited. I am. For this activity I have to write down three treasures for me. Starting with, 1. My LEGO because it is my favourite toy. 2. My bed because it is so comfortable and it is my happy place. 3. My family because there are generations of my family and they are watching over me right now.

For this activity I had to make a Brochure for New Zealand. So I did.

Summer Learning Journey Day 4 Activity 2 NAME CHANGE

For this activity as you can guess by the title, NAME CHANGE. I get to chose a name that I can change my name to. I used a google drawing for this.

Something I found difficult was thinking of a name.

Something I enjoyed was writing the name.

I would change my name to Dob Bob for 2 reasons.

1. It was the first thing that came to my head.

2. I thought of a character once so that's what made me think of this name.

Summer Learning Journey Day 4 Activity 1 Venus and Serena Williams

For this activity I had to watch 2 videos about Venus and Serena Williams. I also have to write 3 things I learnt starting with, 1. They are sisters. 2. They enjoy playing tennis and they don't play to win, they play to have fun. Finally, 3. They proved that women can be as good as men at anything.

1 thing I would like to know is when Venus and Serena started playing tennis.

Something I found difficult was watching the videos because a show that I wanted to watch was on.

For this activity I have to list 3 superpowers I would like to have and why I would have them.  

1. Super speed to get to the bank quick when it's being robbed.

2. Super hearing to know when the bank is being robbed.

3. Super strength to help people when their car breaks down. I can push their car to their house with my super speed.

Something I found difficult is nothing because I already planed these superpowers before the year even began.

Summer Learning Journey Day 2 Activity 2 Neil Armstrong

Hey guys, still day 2. If you have been doing the Summer Learning Journey what are you hoping to win? I'm hoping to win an Ipad. In this activity I had to write a poem about Neil Armstrong on the moon. I had to pretend I was Neil Armstrong and I had to write a poem.

This is it

Mankind sent me, Neil Armstrong to the Moon.

On Apollo 11, I felt a bit nervous but I made it.

On the moon I was excited because I was the first person.

No gravity, I was so happy to be on the moon.

I found the entire poem difficult.

I enjoyed writing the poem because I like writing.

If I was the first person on the moon I'd jump a lot.

Day 2 and the first activity is a Venn Diagram about Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. I found out a lot about these two. I had to list 3 similarity's and 3 difference's.

Something I found difficult was making the diagram.

This Activity is about learning about a charity and what they do. I chose the SPCA because I love animals. There are other groups but I chose the SPCA over all of them.

Activity 2 was better than Activity 1 and now I will have 8 points because I have finished both. I have 10 points because I have replied to a comment on my blog and comments and replies are worth 2 points each. In activity 2 I had to explain my family's cultural background and where we come from.

Something I found difficult is finding where my family came from.

3 facts about Maui the demi god.

1. The giant fish the Maui caught is the North Island of New Zealand and Maui's waka is the South Island of New Zealand.
2. Maui had a lot of brothers and he was always troublesome.
3. Maui caught a giant fish but some people say that he is a myth and legend.


I have whatched the movie Moana. Maui is also in the movie Moana and has the power to change into different animals. Maui also helps Moana to save her village.
