Camp Poems

 In writing we are looking at ballads. These are a Type of poem that always rhymes and has a tune of AABBA.


Here are my Ballads.


Topic; Aero jump



A. We are in the Sky

A. We’re really High

B. Some say it was Tight

B. I hold on with all my Might

A. It was like we would Fly


Topic; Night 1



A. I wanted to Sleep,

A. But they all wanted to Peep.

B. I was going to Shout,

B. Until one of them had to go Out.

A. I was happy to have Z’s to Keep



Topic; Orientering



A. I thought there was a Ghost,

A. It felt like Frost.

B. All I had was Thirst,

B. We could’ve been First.

A. That didn’t happen because we got Lost.



Topic; Waterslide


A. The water went zoom,

A. So I went vroom

B. I went down racing my friend,

B. Until it came to an end.

A. So I went back to my room.



Topic; Night 2



A. Phillips watch wouldn’t stop beeping,

A. Even though I wanted to keep sleeping.

B. The watch wouldn’t stop,

B. That night was a big flop.

A. The watch needs to go somewhere else for safe keeping.



Topic; Go Kart


A. The Kart went Zoom,

A. So I went to Vroom.

B. Phillip wouldn’t stop being annoying,

B. Even though he was speeding.

A. After I had my turn I went to my room.


Topic; Final lunch



A. The food smells yum,

A. Some people wanted gum.

B. The foods gonna be great,

B. I hope I’m not late.

A. I really want that food in my tum tum.



A. I said Phillip was sus,

A. Oh, here's the bus.

B. I had lots of fun,

B. I really had a ton.

A. Good thing no one had a fuss.



Topic; Ride home



A. On the bus to go home,

A. At least we’re not in a dome.

B. I wish we could stay,

B. To have a little bit more play.

A. But our brains are like fome.
