Hearing Dog

WALT combine prior and new knowledge to come up with knew ideas.

In reading this week we got an article called Turbo Lends an Ear. It's about a family of 4 and 1 of the kids is hearing impaired, but he can still talk and hear over the phone and he has 1 sister. The sister and the parents are completely deaf.

So, have you heard of seeing eye dogs, well, there is also hearing dogs. So this family has 1 dog and his name is Turbo. He is a hearing dog. It takes 4-6 months and 9,000 dollars to train a hearing dog.

So my groups synthesis task was to make another animal that can help deaf people. I though of a parrot.

Do you think a parrot is a good hearing animal?
Why or why not?

  1. Hey Tyler, I really like how you created the parrot cause like I don't think I can even do that because that looks really hard so good job! This made me think about maybe our next story might be about a parrot who helps people hear.

Answers to your questions: I think it is cause like parrot repeats what you say.

  2. Hi Tyler,
Your blog post is really good and you put not to much information but it was good because I know what you are talking about, I would not have thought to have a deaf helper parrot.
maybe next time tell us more about parrot so we could have some more reason
Answer I think I would have it as a deaf helper becausethey a easy to train and you can trust them but it would not be good because maybe they could say what you would say.
